Overview

Las Conchas Fishing Access provides anglers with access to the East Fork Jemez River in the Jemez Mountains. The surrounding high-elevation meadows and forest make this one of the more scenic settings for small-stream fishing in northern New Mexico.

The East Fork is considerably smaller than a reservoir or major river, making precise presentations and a careful approach important. Trout can hold in deeper pockets, bends, undercut banks, and areas where current brings food past protective cover.
